Karen Melarkey

My name is Karen Melarkey, and I grew up in Washoe Valley, Nevada. My childhood was very influenced by my time as a gymnast.  I was a member of the US Gymnastics Team in 1978 and competed around the world.  I attended high school at Wooster High School in Reno as well as the College St. Gregoire in Tours, France. After, I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with degrees in both French Literature and Marketing.  With my father and grandfather in the real estate profession, I was encouraged to get my real estate license when I was just a sophomore in college.  After graduating from UNR, I began my real estate career, and I’ve enjoyed 39 years as a full-time real estate professional.  Having worked with my father for many years, I now work with my son, Gavin Deller, and my nephew, Nickalas Blades. I enjoy cycling, skiing, gardening and spending time with my family.
