A proud native Nevadan, Shelby Smith represents the fourth generation of her family to pursue a career in real estate. Today, she’s raising her son as a second-generation Nevadan and continues her family’s legacy with deep commitment to her clients and community.
For nearly a decade, Shelby has worked across multiple sectors of the real estate industry—experience that spans far beyond her current sales role. Her career began with a national Top 10 multi-family developer, where she gained hands-on exposure to architecture, interior design, property management, zoning, marketing, and HOA operations. She also represented homebuyers and investors early in her career, giving her a well-rounded foundation in both residential and investment transactions.
Shelby earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. During that time, she studied abroad in Costa Rica, where she interned at a law firm—an experience that developed her strong analytical, communication, and contract negotiation skills.
Her sales career gained momentum when she became a consultant at Reno’s premier luxury community, Rancharrah—an experience that led her to specialize in high-end residential properties. Since joining Dickson Realty in 2021, she has successfully represented buyers and sellers in luxury real estate transactions throughout Northern Nevada, including record-setting sales.
